Thirroul, De La Salle, and Corrimal all recorded wins in Round 2 of the Harrigan Premiership. The Butchers took the honours in their grand final rematch with Collegians, while De La Salle reminded everyone why they finished the 2023 regular season as minor premiers with a resounding win over Wests.
Corrimal defeated Dapto for the second time in as many outings with a six-point win over the Canaries on Sunday afternoon at Ziems Park.

Defending premiers, Thirroul opened their 2024 Harrigan Motor Group Premiership account with a 22-12 win over Collegians in the Grand Final rematch at Gibson Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Butchers were in control for much of the first half but trailed 12-10 after a late two-try rally by the visitors.
In the second half, a double from centre Steve Marsters proved the difference as the Butchers established a 22-12 winning margin with six minutes remaining.
In the shire, De La Salle posted a 40-16 win over Wests Devils, scoring seven tries to three. Eli Levido had a day out with the boot, landing six conversions from six attempts.
It was a case of history repeating itself for Dapto at Ziems Park, with Corrimal taking the two points in a come-from-behind 16-10 victory over the Canaries after trailing 10-0 early.
Lower Grades Wrap-Up
In Harrigan Plate action, the Avondale Wombats have had a dream start to their season with two consecutive wins, including a 32-20 win over the Helensburgh Tigers in Round 2. The Butchers defeated Collies 32-6, and the Cougars and Tigers played out an 18-all draw.
In the local derby at Avondale, the Greyhounds claimed bragging rights over the Wombats with a 62-6 win in Harrigan Shield. Figtree Crushers accounted for Berkeley 26-24. Windang defeated the Cougars 14-12, and the Devils recorded a 26-24 away win over the Northern Suburbs Bulldogs.
