An undermanned Dapto picked up its first win of the season in the Harrigan Premiership, getting the big scalp of the previously undefeated De La Salle 28-18 in their Round 6 clash at Dapto Showground.
Wests moved to the top of the ladder after beating Collegians 34-10, and Thirroul Butchers defeated Corrimal 40-8 at Gibson Park on Sunday afternoon.

With a solitary competition point to show from their first three games and a host of players unavailable through suspension and injury, the Canaries produced the season’s upset, scoring five tries to three on their way to a 10-point victory over the Shire boys. Coach Blake Wallace praising the experienced Pita Godinet for his poise and control playing at halfback.
Leading 10-6 at halftime on the back of tries to Isaako John and Jack Piccirilli, the hosts went on with the job in the second half with tries to Ratu Camaisala, Jackson Rieck, and a second to John, while De La was only able to cross once before a consolation try to Jaz Flavell in the final minute.
Wests delivered Collegians second defeat on the trot with a convincing 24-point win at Parish Park, skipper Mitch Porter crossing for the first of the Devil’s six tries. The loss puts Collies in an unusual position for last year’s grand finalists, sitting outside the top four however they do have a game in hand.
Defending premiers Thirroul returned to the winner’s list after a last-start draw with Dapto, scoring 40 points to the Cougars’ 8.
Lower Grades Wrap-Up
In Harrigan Plate action, Berkeley took full advantage of an understrength Dapto side, with several players getting the call up to first grade, with a resounding 68-6 win over the Canaries. Wests defeated Collies 34-6 and the Butchers accounted for Corrimal 20-4.
Figtree remains undefeated at the top of the Harrigan Shield table after defeating the Cougars 34-8. Windang took down last year’s premiers Berkeley 26-24 and Wests kept Northern Suburbs winless after defeating the Bulldogs 28-14.
