The Devils went some way to erase memories of last year’s grand final loss to Collies with a 22-10 win at Collegians Sporting Complex.

Leading 6-4 at halftime, and with Collies centre Callan Briggs given an early shower for dissent just before the break, Wests took full advantage in the second stanza with three unanswered tries before a Ziek Foster consolation try with five minutes remaining.

De La Salle continued their impressive second season with a six-tries-to-three win over Corrimal, Tyla Tamou, and Jack A Williams, scoring doubles for the shire-based outfit.

Thirroul returned to the winner’s circle with a 32- 10 win over Dapto at Gibson Park to hold down fourth spot with a two-point gap over the Canaries. The Butchers host De La Salle next week in the Match of The Round.
